		<description>Thanks for the post on SmartyPig. I did want to jump in here and let you know that we do agree with you. SmartyPig is not all about promoting consumerism. SmartyPig does in fact allow you to redeem your goal by simply transferring your funds back to your funding source. In fact, we posted a recent blog about it here:

We have customers all over the country saving for exactly what you are talking about. A house. A wedding. Their kids. Or just saving to save. I spoke with an entrepreneur just yesterday using SmartyPig to save money for his new business and there are folks like Lisa Kelly, a cancer fighter using SmartyPig to help save for her medical bills allowing friends and family to contribute:
